The Modular Outside Air Conditioning System (MOACS) is a family of six preengineered
models for heat recovery and humidity control. These modular type packaged
units range from 1,000 through 10,000 SCFM, and are suited for all climates,
applications, and budgets. Each of the six models offers the flexibility of several module
configurations with options.
The MOACS Model MBB is a packaged ventilation air system that provides basic
mechanical cooling. It controls space humidity at full and part-load conditions with the
addition of optional reheat. Model MBB consists of dehumidifying cooling coils, along
with heating, cooling, refrigeration, and filtration options.
The Thermo-Z plate-style heat-exchanger is designed to recover heat from energy
consuming processes up to 1500°F. Energy can be recovered and returned as process
make-up air, used to preheat combustion air, or used for plant or office heating.
Thermo-Z offers fully adjustable plate-thickness and plate-spacing. Combine this with
the unmatched flexibility in materials of construction and flow patterns, and Thermo-Z is
the obvious choice for your high-temperature heat recovery application.
To meet unique performance or configuration requirements, multiple flow patterns are
available.
For harsh environments, the Thermo-Z can be integrated with a tubular heat-exchanger
(Thermo-T) to provide the ultimate in effectiveness, ...
The Wringer is a make-up air, packaged unit incorporating a counterflow heat-exchanger,
(either a heat pipe or a plate). The Wringer is specifically designed to address indoor air quality problems by controlling space humidity and supplying the required amount of fully filtered, neutral temperature outdoor air.
The custom features of the Wringer allow the ultimate combination of proven
performance with flexibility. The Wringer uses a heat-pipe or a plate heat-exchanger to pre-cool and reheat the outside
air, providing temperature and humidity control with lowered energy consumption.
The Wringer allows all recommendations of ASHRAE 62-1989 to be incorporated into
HVAC design:
Z-Duct is a family of unique heat-exchangers, designed to recover large amounts of energy that would otherwise be wasted. This transfer of energy greatly reduces fuel consumption and equipment capacity required to condition the outdoor air.
